ABOUT THE BUSINESS AWARDS

The 2023 Leeton Business Awards recognises and rewards outstanding business and professional practice in our community.
This year we have a total of 18 awards. Twelve award categories are aligned to the Business NSW Regional Awards, four local awards and 2 non nominated awards.

The Business NSW aligned award categories connect our local winners to be a finalist in the Murray Riverina Regional Awards.

Objectives of the 2023 Leeton Business Awards

  • To recognise and award outstanding businesses in Leeton
  • To encourage business aspiration for excellence
  • To reward outstanding contributions to the community by business leaders
  • To promote Leeton and the businesses that make it thrive

The Walters Leeton Business Awards program is a 16 week campaign aligned with NSW Business Chamber and is completed in four stages.

Nominations – Businesses will be nominated by your customers or nominate your self for the appropriate award category or categories for your business.

Submissions – Once nominated answer a series of question allocated by NSW Business Chamber if an NSW aligned award or from Leeton Business Chamber if a local award and confirm yourself as a finalist.

Judging – Leeton Business Chamber invites external judges from a range of different industries and professions to read the submissions of categories in their field and decided the winner for each category.

Gala Awards Dinner – Reward yourself and staff with a night of fun and entertainment and anticipate winner announcements throughout the presentation. After presentations enjoy the rest of the evening with music and dancing.

Roll of Honour

Non Nominated Category

Since 2007, The Irrigator’s Roll of Honour award recognises contribution to the business and the community. It is the paper’s way of acknowledging the importance of business to the community, as well as the people who own and operate them. Similar to a lifetime achievement award, The Irrigator Roll of Honour is not restricted to the past 12 months. It is not “judged”, but the recipient is selected because they exhibit what we see as a commitment to bettering not only their own business, but the business community in Leeton, as well as the town and shire as a whole.
